GB-Telford: IRM17/4742 - Supply of Thermal Anemometer

Babcock DSG Limited, acting as an Agent on behalf of the Authority, wishes to advertise for expressions of interest for a 4 year contract with a fixed initial procurement of quantity 36 of: Thermal Anemometer, NSN: 6695-99-9367850, Part Number: TA440 or equivalent.

If an equivalent is to be offered, the potential Tenderer must fully demonstrate that the article being offered is a suitable substitute to Part Number TA440 in terms of quality, fit, form and function by providing evidence in, precise terms, of the alternative article's equivalent technical and physical characteristics in comparison to the TA440.

The potential Tenderer must also supply a sample Certificate of Calibration (one Standard Cal and one UKAS Accredited to 17025) and any Technical Documentation and/or information with their expression of interest to enable Babcock DSG Ltd to make an assessment of suitability prior to selecting successful bidders.

Babcock DSG Ltd advises potential Tenderers that drawings or associated specifications are not available to issue as part of any eventual Invitation to Tender.

QA Standards or equivalent: The potential Tenderer shall hold and maintain an ISO accreditation (or equivalent) issued by an accredited certification body.

Interested parties should in the first instance, submit an expression of interest, together with their ISO accreditation certificate (or equivalent) including scope and all the relevant information for a substitute to Part Number TA440 detailed above to Babcock DSG Ltd.'s nominated representative.

Please note that Babcock DSG Ltd reserves the right to exclude any potential Tenderers whose ISO accreditation (or equivalent) does not cover the scope of the Authority's requirement.

Late expressions of interest will not be considered.

The announcement of a possible future requirement is not to be construed as confirmation that a tender/contract will subsequently be issued.

The issue of a possible future requirement, or the issue of an Invitation to Tender, is not to be construed as a commitment by Babcock DSG Ltd to place a contract as a result of the tendering stage or at a later stage.

Any expenditure, work or effort prior to any contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of the potential Tenderer.

Babcock DSG Ltd will endeavour to acknowledge all expressions of interest within 5 working days of receipt.

Should no such acknowledgement be provided, the potential Tenderer should take appropriate action to confirm receipt of their expression of interest.
