The brief

**This notification refers to a Market Engagement Event Only** Cleveland Fire Brigade ("the Client") is currently soft market testing with a view to exploring and understanding the supply market with regard to the possible future provision of Foam Training for firefighting purposes and fire ground emergency planning training for Officers, theoretical input to be delivered on Cleveland Fire Brigade premises, Queens Meadow complex, Hartlepool, with Practical Foam application on brigade site and at an alternative site provided by the supplier.

The client would like to understand more about the suppliers who have knowledge and experience of delivering foam training and emergency planning training and are keen to speak to companies to help us develop a specification of requirements for the future delivery of training to firefighters and duty officers.

The Clients are therefore seeking a provider who would work proactively with the brigade to ensure the delivery of effective Foam Training and fire ground emergency planning to meet the following objectives :- • Awareness of the Brigade's Foam types, application methods, capabilities and associated risks. • Understanding of strategic Incident Command tactics/emergency planning • Understanding of the responsibilities of individuals and different departments/teams within the brigade.

The Clients are therefore inviting any organisation that may be interested in this possible procurement opportunity to a 'Market engagement' event which will be held on 9th November, 2020 from 10am to 4pm.

Please also note that as a result of the constant change and updates to regulations surrounding COVID 19 that the event will be held virtually via Microsoft TEAMS.

On expressing their interest, suppliers will be allocated 45 minutes with the Project team to discuss this potential procurement opportunity as well as demonstrate their experience and capability.

Interested parties should email mmayes@clevelandfire.gov.uk with a preferred time slot of attendance.

The closing date to express your interest in attending is 12pm on 2nd November 2020.

The event is a pre procurement engagement only, seeking to understand supplier capability.

This does not commit the clients to any future procurement exercise.

The overall aim of this expression of interest is to: 1.

Allow the supply market visibility of the proposed/future opportunity 2.

Cleveland Fire Brigades will use the output of this pre-market engagement activity to determine the next stages and inform a potential procurement exercise.

3.

To gauge the level of interest from the supply market of capable providers. **Please also note that as a result of the constant change and updates to regulations surrounding COVID 19 that the event will held virtually via Microsoft TEAMS.**
