The brief

Doncaster Children's Services Trust Limited (the Trust) is hosting an event for all Independent Fostering Agencies (IFA's) on Wednesday 1st May 2019 at the Mansion House, 45 High Street, Doncaster, DN1 1BN.

Event registration will be 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start.

The event will conclude at 4.00 pm.

The theme for the event will be "Doncaster Carers for Doncaster Children" Background Demand for foster care placements continues to put pressure on existing provision.

Both the Trust and providers alike continue to operate within a challenging economic climate.

Purpose The Trust wishes to meet with existing and new providers of placements for looked after children.

The main discussion points and areas for focus during the event include (but are not limited to): • Current challenges faced by the Trust and providers in meeting the needs of children / young people • Table exercises (sharing best practice and identifying improvements) • Recruitment of Foster Carers • Young Advisers • Signs of Safety • Skills to Foster Training • Staying Put Providers are asked to limit delegate numbers to a maximum of two please.
