The brief

The National Archives (TNA) is selecting a Supplier to undertake an IT review that includes the following outputs: a) mapping of our core business processes for HR and Finance, noting specifically the interface between these functions; b) mapping the information flows between the HR and Finance departments.

This should include an outline of the types of data gathered and used by each information system; c) identification of all touchpoints between the HR and Finance systems/data with other systems/data (eg outsourced payroll, clocking-in system, payments to our on-site and on-line bookshop), and consideration of other touchpoints which may add value (eg CRM); d) a gap analysis that identifies potential areas for improvement; e) a range of pragmatic, reasonable and achievable recommendations, taking into account the costs, risks and benefits involved, for TNA to consider taking forward.

Any recommendations which may involve procuring new solutions must be supplier/solution agnostic; f) from the above range of possible solutions, identify and justify a single recommendation (which may at this stage include specific products/solutions, if appropriate) which adds the most value to TNA.

The work must be completed by 30 November 2019.

Additional related work may be commissioned thereafter, dependent on the results, up to the maximum awarded contract value.

G-Cloud contract.
