We therefore invite you to participate in an invite only tender for the contract to provide these services.
The University of Nottingham Estates Department requires a number of buildings to be risk assessed in relation to the risk posed to its water systems from legionnaires' Disease.
The Health and Safety Executive define this process as follows: The risk assessment identifies and assesses the risk from legionellosis from work activities and water sources on premises and determines any necessary precautionary measures.
All buildings need to be risk assessed in accordance with: o HSC ACoP L8 Legionnaires' disease.
The control of legionella bacteria in water systems o HSG 274 Part 2: The control of legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems o HSG 274 Part 3: The control of legionella bacteria in other risk systems o See Appendix 2.1 HSG274 Part 2 for areas to be considered by the risk assessment process. o BS 8580-1:2019 Water Quality.
