The brief

Plymouth City Council (PCC) is seeking expressions of interest from organisations who would have a possible interest in providing a Community Meal Service for Adults in Plymouth.

Please not that at present this is not a procurement exercise, however, we are looking to gauge the interest within the market of providing the service.

Community meals deliver hot, ready meals to clients' doors 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Clients are able to pick from a minimum of one meal a week up to seven days a week.

Community meals play a vital role in ensuring that eligible older people have daily contact with others and have some of their nutritional needs met.

The vulnerability of this group means that their need for adequate nutrition and hydration must remain a priority when considering changes to current service provision.

Drivers are required to be fully DBS checked and will perform safety and wellbeing checks when they deliver a client's meal.

They will contact the next of kin or social services if there are any concerns.

For further details and instructions on how to express an interest please see the advert DN668878 on www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk
