The brief

The MOD requires access to worldwide Aeronautical Information (AI) in order to ensure the safety and efficiency of its global aviation activity.

No 1 Aeronautical Information Documents Unit (AIDU) provides the distribution and delivery of appropriate, accurate, assured and timely AI to meet operations users' requirements.

The Contractor will be required to provide terminal charts and associated textual notes as published in National Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) procedures for airfields with hard surface runways and have as near complete as possible coverage of available worldwide terminal charts.

The Contractor will also be required to provide UK COPTER and Oil Rig Charts and procedures where produced.

The AI must be capable of being distributed via electronic media including DVD/CD and extensive use of the internet.
