Procurement of X-Ray Equipment
To ensure on-going compliance with the Ionisation Radiation Regulations (IRR 2017), Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) has a time-sensitive requirement for new equipment to produce X-Rays to enhance their capability to calibrate Gamma Radiation Protection Instruments (RPI) at high dose rates.
Consequently, NRS is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the design, manufacture, installation and commission of such equipment and invites contractors to state their interest in this requirement, accompanied by any relevant information.
Further Information • The X-Ray equipment must interface and be controlled with an existing radioactive source based RPI calibration exposure unit. • The X-Ray equipment must interface with the existing operating system and interlocks of the existing source based RPI calibration exposure unit. • All works must be completed by 31 March 2025. • The new X-Ray system must have an ongoing support contract that guarantees an annual service visit • The new X-Ray system must have an ongoing support contract that guarantees a breakdown response with site attendance by the contractor within 3 days of a fault. • The contractor will require SC security clearance to carry out the installation and servicing of the equipment.
