Virtualisation Consultancy Requirements: 1.

A project manager needs to be appointed with whom the Royal Armouries IT team will communicate in the delivery of the contract.

A risk management exercise needs to be undertaken by the supplier prior to any work being done.

Scope of works to include • Install of new server hardware and upgrade of existing HP DL 360 server to run virtual environment. • Configuration of new P2000 SAN and configure disks • Installation and configuration of new Virtual environment using VM Ware platform. • Convert existing physical server RA- CIIM server to virtual machine and test. (This device will be upgraded to run a new virtual host) • Create New Virtual Server to Host MS Exchange 2013, test and migrate all exchange server settings and mailboxes. • New Virtual Server to host finance applications ( 2 single core processor 8GB RAM) • Setup and Migrate McAfee EPolicy Orchestrator to new MS 2012 Virtual server; This system is currently running on a 2003 server • Setup and Migrate WSUS to new virtual 2012 server – currently running on 2003 server. • Setup new virtual 2012 Domain Controller • New 2012 File Server.

Setup DFS, migrate existing files and folders to new server. • Migrate Print server role to new 2012 DC • Migrate and setup Remote Desktop Services from 2008 server to new 2012 server. • Set up Veeam backup and Replication software to backup all virtualised machines to NAS and configure backup Copies to RDX device for external storage. • Training of RA IT staff re Virtualised environment. • 14 day grace period.
