Damp and Mould Rectification Works
It is proposed that Unitas will be assuming the role of Principal Contractor on this project, and intend to appoint two highest scoring Sub-contractors to carry out the works under a Framework agreement.
The framework will consist of the two highest scoring Sub-contractors based on a MEAT assessment (90% price/10% quality).
Works will be packaged and called off via a cascade system.
The winning contractor will be offered works packages in the first instance.
If the winning contractor is unable to take on the works package it will then be offered to the second placed contractor.
The works will include tasks related to the treatment and eradication of damp and mould.
Properties will be occupied by existing tenants while works are carried out.
The works will comprise the following: • Preparation of walls & ceilings including strip wallpapers in effected areas • Fungicidal wash to effected areas • Apply Wallrock thermal wallpaper where required • Application of anti mould emulsion paint • Rake out and renew silicone seals to baths, sinks and windows • Apply thermal plasterboard and associated renewal of skirting boards and decorate • Renew/refix loft insulation Proposed start date of the works is June/July 2024, and will continue for a period of up to 4 years (£200,000 pa).
