In winter 2023, in a bid to reduce the environmental impact of the Cheltenham Ice Rink, Cheltenham Borough Council commissioned an innovative power solution.
The hybrid set-up utilised a high-capacity mobile battery, the existing onsite power supply and an efficient and silenced generator fuelled with hydrotreated vegetable oil.
