Design, Supply and Installation of Furniture
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Furniture & Furnishings band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 5,729 valued Furniture & Furnishings tenders in our corpus.
Cambridge City Council has embarked on a strategy to rationalise its administrative office stock by refurbishing retained office accommodation and introducing \"SMART\" working practices into newly refurbished offices at Mandela House, 130 Cowley Road and The Guildhall, Cambridge.
The Refurbishment works at Mandela House and Cowley road are about to begin and it is anticipated that offices be re-occupied by December 2017.
The City Council is seeking furniture and office layout design expertise for the offices at Mandela House and 130 Cowley Road which will provide well laid out desk spaces and provide environments that encourage new ways of working in a modern working environment.
The design should support the Council to achieve its aims to encourage mobile working, flexible meeting spaces, quiet and communal spaces alongside more traditional office layouts which maximise the use of floor space available.
It should help the council meet its aim to reduce desk provision to a maximum desk to staff ratio of 7:10 and to maximise floor space utilisation to a standard of a maximum 6m2 per workstation.
