T0379 - Technical Specialist - Vessel Replacement Programme

Modification Notice Original description: Trinity House engaged the services of a technical specialist to support their vessel replacement programme.

Full details of the stages, duties, etc. were included in the original Invitation to Tender.

Description of the modifications The original project to replace one Trinity House Vessel (THV) was updated to include the replacement of a second THV.

The amendment requires the technical specialist services to cover both THV's.

The original tender allowed for the timescale to be adjusted to fully deliver THV no.1 using competitively tested rates.

These rates have been adjusted in line with originally tendered agreement and are aligned to the original contract pricing structure.

This structure will be to deliver THV no.

2 Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances: Previous competitive procurements for vessel no.

1 failed to deliver successful contract awards.

This dictated a project review and extensive market engagement which resulted in a new procurement exercise for the replacement of two vessels instead of a single vessel.

The two vessel procurement could not have been predicted at the time of procuring the original contract for technical support services.
