Open List for General Practices in Buckinghamshire to provide Public Health Services
Buckinghamshire Council (BC) is seeking to create an open list of General Practice to provide a range of public health services to Buckinghamshire residents.
These services are: • NHS Health Checks • Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) • Opportunistic Chlamydia Screening • Local Enhanced Service: Management of people with illicit opioid dependency • Local Enhanced Service: Management of people with alcohol dependency via continued prescribing of alcohol relapse prevention medication by General Practices General Practices will need to be registered with the General Medical Council, have premises registered in Buckinghamshire and have appropriately qualified staff able to deliver the services.
The Open List will be open for new applications from the date of publication of the documents and will remain open for new applications from General Practices at any time during the Open List term.
Successful applicants will be required to sign the Public Health Services Contract.
You will be required to have appropriately robust financial status, adequate levels of professional indemnity insurance and appropriate safeguarding measures are in place e.g.
DBS check of relevant staff.
These must be provided to the Council on request.
General Practices delivering services on behalf of BC must be able to provide services that are responsive to the needs of different groups in the community.
This is not a competitive tender process but General Practices wishing to express their interest in delivering services are requested to register on the Council's portal www.supplybucksbusiness.org.uk The relevant documentation (specifications, contract and response form) will be available there for download.
Services start date: 1 April 2023 Value of all contracts: Variable depending on services provided Contract period: 5 years
