NHS ARDEN AND GREATER EAST MIDLANDS COMMISSIONING SUPPORT UNIT
NHS Corby Extended Primary Medical Care Access Pilot sites
NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are seeking initial responses from suitably qualified providers to support the CCG in the development of their primary medical care service that forms part of the development of the GP Forward View.
The GP Forward View represents a turning point in investment in primary care.
It sets out a support package and the ambition to strengthen and redesign general practice.
This includes delivering extended access in primary medical care.
The national vision builds on the learning about the potential for transformation in general practice in pilot areas like the GP Access Fund sites.
These sites have used extended access to also enable self-care and direct access to other services, better use of the talents of the wider workforce, greater use of digital technology and working at scale across providers to shape capacity.
Funding for extended access is being made available to all CCGs from April 2018.
NHS Corby CCG will start to use this funding to secure extended access services that meet the 7 core requirements.
We are seeking to secure two pilot sites interested in providing extended hours that meet these criteria and will be ready to mobilise services covering the whole of the NHS Corby footprint from January 2018.
Please see the attachment for the full detail of requirements.
