The brief

Dyfed Powys Police is seeking specialist CCTV consultancy support to assist with scoping the requirements to deliver on the Police and Crime Commissioner's commitment 'to invest in a modern CCTV infrastructure to improve the safety of our towns and communities' by Introducing a CCTV programme into the main towns of Dyfed Powys which meets current and future demand profiles based on crime, anti-social behaviour and calls to service.

Ensuring the system maintains public confidence and support through compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice relevant to CCTV and its use is Justifiable, Proportionate, Legal, Accountable and Necessary.

Ensuring the CCTV infrastructure and systems effectively and efficiently support operational needs and is compatible and fully integrated with existing and planned force systems e.g.

The Digital Portal.

Ensuring the system has the capacity and capability to be monitored both centrally and locally.

Working with partners (local authorities, local councils and chambers of trade etc.) to secure a sustainable financial model to support the CCTV programme.

Ensuring the programme remains within budget and presents value for money.
