The brief

Tender for Supply & Installation of Muslim Burial Chambers Sandwell MBC (\"the Council\") has two crematoria and eight cemeteries for which it is responsible.

The Crematoria act as key functional services in meeting Environmental Health Regulations as well as providing a local service to the residents of Sandwell, where they can access appropriate means for the cremation and burial of the deceased.

The Crematoria and Cemeteries also act as places where bereaved families and friends can have various lasting memorials erected in a peaceful and respectful setting to commemorate their loved ones.

To support this, the Council has an on-going requirement for the Supply & Installation of Muslim Burial Chambers.

Expenditure Expenditure for the Supply & Installation of Muslim Burial Chambers for the Council over a recent 12 (twelve) month period was £35,000.00.

The total estimated value excluding VAT for the entire duration of the contract is £140,000.00.

This value is based on historical spend data and is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from the Contract.

The Council shall determine on an individual purchase basis throughout the period of the Contract which particular Goods and or Services it shall require.

Period of Contract The Contract shall take effect on the Commencement Date and (unless it is otherwise terminated in accordance with the terms of the Contract or it is otherwise lawfully terminated) shall determine at the end of the period as set out in the award letter.

As an indication the Contract is expected to commence on 1st April 2019 and will be for a period of four (4) years effective from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2023.
