The brief

Dear colleague, The XCEPT research programme is seeking applications from researchers examining how the transnational dimensions of conflict interact with issues related to women and girls.

The main output of the research will be a paper for publication in an academic journal or as an XCEPT research report.

It will contribute to a wider portfolio of research on how conflicts connect across borders and how policy responses should adapt, as part of the UK aid-funded Cross-Border Conflict Evidence, Policy and Trends (XCEPT) research programme.

This opportunity is open to both individual researchers and research organisations.

Interested applicants should propose a research idea, describe their methodology, and discuss how Global South researchers will meaningfully participate in the research, as part of a 1500-word application form.

Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal.

The deadline for submissions is 13 September 2023 at 18:00 BST.
