Provision of ICB EPR Project Solution - NOM6882
This is a large award for IT Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
The NHS is currently facing a number of external factors that require it to transform: • A transition to delivering integrated care through Integrated Care Systems • An ageing population increasing the complexity of care • Labour market shortages • The largest elective backlog ever and increased pressure on Urgent and Emergency Care due to the pandemic • An uncertain policy environment given changes in the political landscape These external factors have resulted in increasing demand on the stretched services, needs for care, rising costs and complexity of treatments, fewer staff in key roles, high staff turnover, capacity challenges, and funding needs levels which will not keep pace with demand.
Therefore, improved use of digital clinical systems will be more important than ever in order to continue provide high quality health services and care outcomes.
NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I) have mandated that NHS Providers should adopt EPR/DCS systems that meet a specified minimum range of requirements which have been documented in the Minimum Digital Foundations paper alongside a programme of managed system convergence.
The ICS Partners across our system currently use the following EPR/DCS alongside a large number (300+) of specialty care systems
