The brief

Contracts Finder Notice **This notification refers to a Market Engagement Event Only** Cleveland Fire Brigade is currently soft market testing with a view to exploring the possibility of a procurement exercise for Catering Services to its Training & Administrative Hub based in Hartlepool, Cleveland for Fire Service staff, visitors and members of the public.

We are keen to speak to companies in order to help us develop a specification requirement for the future delivery of the catering services.

If your organisation is passionate about such work we would love to hear from you.

We are therefore seeking a provider who would work proactively with us to: • Ensure the delivery of a catering service that will deliver a good selection of healthy, nutritious food which is cost effective and gives value for money. • Be fully compliant with all relevant Food Standard Agency instruction/policy. • Comply with all relevant regulations and governing acts pertaining to the service provision. • Comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (and subsequent amendments) and any other acts, rules or orders which pertain to health and safety. • Be proactive and flexible in the delivery of the service, responding to changing demands of the service in order to provide a quality cost effective solution.

The Contractor should note that it will be expected to operate on the basis of a 'nil subsidy' and that the Authority is not requiring any rebate.

To support the above objectives, the client would like to conduct a market consultation in relation to this proposed procurement idea for Catering Services.

The client wants to understand more about those suppliers who have knowledge and experience of delivering Catering.

The Client is therefore inviting any organisation that may be interested in this possible procurement opportunity to a 'Market engagement' event on the 25th February how this will take place will be dependent on the COVID restrictions.

On expressing their interest, suppliers will be allocated 45 minutes with the Project team to discuss this potential procurement opportunity as well as demonstrate their experience and capability.

Interested parties should email jrichards@clevelandfire.gov.uk with a preferred time slot of attendance.

The closing date to express your interest in attending is 1700 Hours on the Friday 29th January 2021..

The event is a pre procurement engagement only, seeking to understand supplier capability.

This does not commit the clients to any future procurement exercise.
