The brief

The Council requires one suitably qualified and experienced Lift Contractor for the complete removal and disposal of the existing passenger lifts and the supply, installation and testing of three new MRL, DDA goods/passenger lifts.

Only one lift should be out of service at any one time.

Please note that City Hall is a Grade 1 listed building and was added as a world heritage site on 14th June 1963.

The challenges associated with its build and grandeur will be assessed by the contractor and the buildings needs/requirements MUST be accounted for during this project.

A strict plan of works for this project will be written and the contractor will not deviate from the plan without authorisation from Bradford Council.

Comprehensive lift maintenance shall be provided for a period of 24 months and, until the reliability criteria have been satisfied, will be required on the completion of the install.

The lift shall be serviced monthly and a maximum of up to, but not exceeding one-hour response to entrapments and up to, but not exceeding two-hour response to all other calls is required at all times during the project and warranty period 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
