Supply Chain Notice: Missile Container

MBDA UK Limited are seeking expressions of interest from suitable suppliers with the aim of tendering for the design, development and manufacture of a container for the lifetime storage and transportation of a new missile.

The aim of this posting is for MBDA to identify up to six potential suppliers to invite to a competitive tender process for the work (non OJEU).

The tendering process is expected to start in the second quarter of 2024 where a full set of specification documents (Technical and environmental requirements), Contract template and Statement of Work will be provided.

As a minimum, suppliers must be able to offer a full design-and-build capability and be able to design to a detailed set of technical requirements and through-life environmental conditions and have access to or be able to contract with environmental test facilities.

Additionally suppliers must be able to handle information up to the UK security level of Official Sensitive and be Cyber Essentials Certified.

The successful tenderer will ultimately be contracted directly with MBDA UK Limited initially as a design and development package with agreed milestones and firm manufacturing option prices which are to be exercisable in an agreed timeframe in line with the manufacturing phase of the missile.
