The Authority provides memorial plaques for Cemeteries and memorial seats throughout the borough of North Tyneside and wishes to appoint a suitably experienced Contractor to supply the Memorial Plaques.
To ensure consistency of Memorial Plaques throughout North Tyneside, the Authority requires the specification, colour and size as detailed below.
Tenderers WERE requested to identify any areas where they offer an alternative to the Specification.

Plaque specification:- The Memorial Plaques must be to British Standard 1400 LG3-pb 2%, Cast Bronze 5mm thick with the text at a 2mm indentation.
The overall thickness of the Memorial Plaque must be 5mm thick.
The background shall have a powder coating which is a dark graphite colour, with the inscription and border embossed (cast) with a bronze colour overlaid.
The Memorial Plaques shall have a powder coated lacquer on the top and must be drilled with two holes, each one centrally positioned on each short side of the Memorial Plaque in accordance with the Appendices included in the Tender Documents.
The Contract Period will be for 24 months with the option to extend for a further two x twelve month periods, as per the Specific Conditions.
Expressions of interest WERE received no later than before 12:00 noon on Thursday 8th December 2016.
