Dell Supply a standardized laptop and desktop product to GMFRS and the Combined Authority, the department requires continuity of supply that is compatible with all other products, the existing contract has expired and the intention is to direct award the contract to Dell Technologies under the NHS Shared Business Servies Digital Workplace Systems framework.
As this will be a 4 year call off the threshold meets the requirement for a D1 and subsequent D3 report.
In the interim we require a short-term exemption to allow for the purchase of equipment for new starters and the replacement of broken equipment.
GMCA receives a significant discount of 62% on products via the NHS SBS framework that can not be achieved through other frameworks.
This is a request for a retrospective Exemption, the existing contract arrangements expired in April 2024, new orders are required in the interim whilst we procure a longer term solution.
