The brief

BACKGROUND Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust 1.3.1 Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust was established in 2020 and has grown rapidly to its current size of 39 schools across Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside & Northumberland.

Our mission is to ensure that all children in our schools experience the best education possible.

Part of this mission is to ensure that our partnerships with contractors support the best possible outcomes for our pupils and staff and offer good value for money in a consistent manner across all our school sites.

OBJECTIVE 2.1 This FC sets out the requirements of this procurement and provides information on how the tender process will be managed.

It also explains the clarification process and confirms the process that will be used to evaluate Tender(s).

2.2 Bishop Bewick CET aims to deliver the following objectives through this procurement: • Improved use of technological solutions to deliver an efficient and convenient service for end users • Improved printing speeds and quality • Achieving best value for money • Changing printing cultures to reduce waste and improve energy efficiency measures 2.3 This Further Competition is for Wave 1 which includes 18 schools who have initial requirements.

These schools have at least one contract due to expire prior to 31st August 2026.

Details on the schools, the number of devices and monthly print volumes can be found in Appendix G1.

2.4 The Trust is seeking to enter overall a 45-month contract with a co-terminus end date of 31st August 2028.

Each leasing agreement will be entered into as part of this overall contract and will have co-terminus end date of 31st August 2028.

2.5 The Trust are looking to appoint a Supplier who will demonstrate technical competency and best value for money in relation to the Trust's requirements, as well as a focus on sustainability.

2.6 The Trust are planning on a further procurement process in 2026 to review the remaining 20 schools within a procurement for Wave 2.

The list of schools in Wave 2 is provided in Appendix G2.

2.7 The tender is for a third-party provider to provide the provision of MFD's for the following schools within BBCET.
