The Department for International Trade, based in the British Embassy Dubai, and covering the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan (MEAP Region), proposes to commission a research study to understand what technology solutions will be required by the governments and private sectors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Bahrain to deliver their economic diversification plans.
The focus is on technology requirements for Healthcare, Life Sciences, Education and Smart Cities.
This study will be used to inform DIT's exports strategy for the region and highlight which specific technology solutions, products and services ti will need to offer and promote to key public and private stakeholders and buyers in the region.
We anticipate the research to comprise of secondary desk research (to be completed by end March 2019) and primary qualitative research interviews with senior stakeholders in the four markets (to be completed by end April 2019), with a final research debrief report by mid May 2019.
The project will require a research agency with qualitative research experience in the Gulf and an in-depth knowledge of the technology sector.
The requirement is being finalised and has a maximum budget of £50k total.
