Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority
EV Infrastructure Market Engagement Event
The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), in collaboration with Peterborough City Council (PCC) and Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), is actively seeking contractors for the implementation of public Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure as part of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund initiative.
We are currently in the process of developing a comprehensive EV Infrastructure Strategy for the entire CPCA area.
Preliminary estimates indicate that, by 2030, we will require approximately 10,000 public EV charging stations, with a significant number likely to be installed along public roads.
To achieve this ambitious infrastructure goal by 2030, the Councils are seeking contractors with the necessary expertise and capabilities for the rapid deployment of this essential infrastructure.
This will be a turn-key solution where selected contractors will need to invest capital into the project.
Please note that ownership of the underground infrastructure will revert to the councils at the conclusion of the contract term, in accordance with LEVI funding requirements.
