Bury Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified organisation to supply and deliver taxi vehicle licence plates, driver badges and other associated badges and licences.
The Council's Licensing Team is part of the Department of Operations which is based at 6 Knowsley Place, Bury.
The team have a duty to use and enforce licensing legislation to ensure that all licensable operations relating to people, places and activities are safe and operate within the controls & limits imposed by the various licensing regimes.
In particular the service is responsible for the licensing of: • Public & private hire vehicles, drivers and operators • Premises selling alcohol, providing entertainments and late night hot refreshments • Premises used for gambling such as book makers, arcades and the use of machines • Street Trading consents The processes involved in the production of the different types of plates / badges / consents are carried out using 'Lalpac' licensing software.
Pre-defined templates retrieve the relevant data from the software package which in turn then prints onto the pre-printed peripherals.
The closing date for the submission of expressions of interest is 5.00 pm on Thursday 22nd August 2024 The closing time for completed tender submissions, via The Chest, is no later than 12.00 noon on Tuesday 27th August 2024
