The brief

Halton Borough Council are seeking to appoint accredited suppliers for the provision of a short stay residential respite care service in Bredon Respite Unit at Lapwing Grove, Runcorn.

The service will provide short stay residential care for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities and an Acquired Brain Injury.

Bredon can accommodate up to 4 people at any one time.

During 2016/17 the service provided respite stays for 40 individuals, with average occupancy levels of 77% over the year.

Suppliers will need to demonstrate a proven track record in providing services to support vulnerable adults, in particular that they are capable of meeting the service specification and quality standards required by the Council.

The delivery of the service must be provided in full partnership with the Council, service user, carers and other relevant agencies.

The Bredon Short Term Respite Service Contract will commence on 1st April 2018 until 31st March 2021.
