The Contract is designed to deliver to: • An annual portable firefighting equipment service regime, including assessment of location and signage. • Remedials works identified as being required during the service, • Removal and disposal of condemned equipment or equipment no longer required. • Supply and installation of additional/ new firefighting equipment identified as being required on a Fire Risk Assessment, • A reactive call out service to attend damaged or used equipment, • The provision of a Fire Fighting Equipment asset register for each property covered under the contract. • Advice on actions required by SHG to comply with any changes in Regulations, or prevailing HSE guidance throughout the contract term.
Note - All of the above are mandatory elements of the contract and therefore bidders should not submit a bid unless they are able to deliver all elements of the works required.
The purpose of the contract is to ensure that all portable fire fighting equipment installed within the properties covered by the contract is maintained in line with BS5306 Part 3 and that portable fire fighting equipment provision within the properties is in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 at all times.
