Global Company Information
This is a large award for IT Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
The service has been titled 15-DSR-Global Company Information-1224-PIN and the aim is to obtain a commercially available database in bulk holding details of company registrations and accounts from jurisdictions around the world.
The data is being acquired in order to improve tax compliance with specific reference to offshore evasion.
The intention is to be able to identify offshore companies and those individuals associated with the companies.
This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to alert the market to HMRC interest in these services and to conduct a Request for Information (RFI).
The purpose of the RFI is to allow HMRC to gauge the potential options to deliver this Service.
HMRC will review and consider all responses but cannot guarantee any new commercial arrangements based on the responses.
Suppliers can provide a response to the RFI by responding to an online questionnaire, which can be accessed using the details below.
HMRC shall treat any answers provided to questions as confidential and will not disclose the same to any third party.
To obtain access to the online questionnaire respondents will need to register using this http address - http://hmrc.supplier-eu.ariba.com/ad/register/SSOActions?type=full.
If respondents are already registered with Ariba then they are required to login using the link.
Respondents will then receive confirmation via a system generated email that they are registered as a potential HMRC supplier.
Once respondents have received this confirmation, an email should be sent to james.gadsby@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk entitled “15-DSR-Global Company Information-1224-PIN ”.
This will be treated as a request to access that specific online event.
Respondents will then receive email notification confirming that they have been given access to the RFI they are interested in.
The deadline for completion of the questionnaire is 1700hrs 24 December 2015.
Please note: a) non-completion of the online questionnaire will not disqualify organisations from participating in any future related tendering exercise and b) completion of the online questionnaire will not remove the need to respond to and fully comply with any future related Contract Notice.
