This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Construction band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 64,002 valued Construction tenders in our corpus.
In accordance with best procurement practice, EU and UK Procurement Directives and Regulations and the Authority's service order, the Authority is seeking to choose a Tenderer(s) by competitive Tender for the provision of Resurfacing Works and associated Services across the Authority's estate.
The objectives of this contract are: · Planned resurfacing works and reactive maintenance as called off at the Employer's sites across the county of Kent · Replace and/or maintain the road/pathway, drive/drill yard surfaces, drill yards/pathways as instructed under call off · To ensure that the Service receives full and uninterrupted use of the essential operational areas throughout the period of this contract; · To provide an out of hours service ie 17:00 to 08:00, Monday to Friday and 24/7 cover for weekends and Bank Holidays.
The majority of the road/pathway surfaces within the estate are formed with tarmacadam drives/drill yards and pre cast concrete flags forming pathways.
The intention is to renew the tarmacadam surfaces over the Contract period and replace the pre cast concrete flags with tarmacadam.
Certain sites have pre-cast concrete pads forming the drill yards/pathways.
These are to remain and will be replaced like for like as and when required.
A small number of sites have block paviours and again, will be replaced like for like as and when required.
In addition to the works itemised under the ITT specification/schedule of works, examples of reactive works that might be called off under this Contract are: · Repair of potholes in drill yard tarmacadam · Replacement of cracked pre cast concrete flags · Addressing block paviours that have sunk · Addressing trip hazards from cracked concrete pads.
