The BBC use Campaign Management Tools to engage with our audiences.
A campaign is a sequence of marketing efforts that contacts multiple recipients via email or SMS.
Email campaigns are designed to reach subscribers to provide valuable content.
In the BBC's case, our email campaigns allow us to reach out to our license fee payers to engage them with our brands and the content they provide for marketing purposes.
SMS campaigns are used to contact BBC journalists around the world when there is a breaking news event.
Our Audiences consent to receive correspondence via webforms that are hosted on bbc.co.uk and via automation, the data is seamlessly transferred into our existing products.
Notifications of new submissions are sent to an AWS topic and our preference is for the solution provider to subscribe using an AWS queue.
We are now taking this opportunity to explore the market via this RFI and look for suppliers that provide off the shelf, third party, cloud-based SaaS solution to replace two existing products in use amongst multiple teams within the BBC.
