Market Engagement Day The Home Office is hosting a virtual market event for a forthcoming requirement as part of the overhaul of guidance on The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 - the Fire Safety Order (FSO).
It is seeking external assistance to draft some new guides and update existing guidance documents.
Most of the work would need to be delivered around Q2 of 2022 to align with the anticipated date for the Building Safety Bill (BSB) achieving Royal Assent.
The requirement is seeking four new guides which include fire doors, sanctions, an implementation guide and an overarching fire risk assessment guide to bring together the premises specific guides on GOV.UK.
All these guides must be accessible and provide details for the Responsible Person on how to discharge their duties.
All guides should be displayed as a PDF, or where appropriate, be turned into HTML text on GOV.UK where we intend to host them.
The requirement also includes updates to existing guides that are being produced in Tranche 2.
These guides must be consistent with the FSO, including any fire safety changes brought in by the BSB.
