Solihull MBC is looking to implement a contract for the provision of a Healthwatch Service in the borough of Solihull to a single supplier.

The contract is to be for 3 years starting on 1st July 2020 with the option to extend for 1 + 1 years.

The contract is required to deliver the seven functions of Healthwatch as described in the service specification, for the borough of Solihull. o Gathering views and understanding the experiences of people who use services, carers and the wider community o Making people's views known o Promoting and supporting the involvement of people in the commissioning and provision of local care services and how they are scrutinised o Recommending investigation or special review of services via Healthwatch England or directly to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) o Providing information (signposting) about access to services and support for making informed choices o Making the views and experiences of people known to Healthwatch England (and to other local Healthwatch organisations), and providing a steer to help it carry out its role as national champion o NHS Complaints Advocacy identification and signposting
