The brief

Northumbria Police and five other Forces have collaborated successfully to secure over £7.5 million pounds worth of funding years via the Home Office Police Transformation Fund, to protect the most vulnerable in our communities.

The funding is being used to implement and embed a number of transformational approaches to best practice in dealing with domestic abuse in line with police, OPCC and partner agency strategic objectives.

There are gaps in current domestic abuse services and disjointed practices between agencies that affect the ability to effectively respond to the needs of victims and families.

This project seeks to plug these gaps and provide a true whole system approach.

The Vision of 'A Whole System Approach' is to transform domestic abuse services by giving police and partner agencies the ability to truly deliver lasting change and provide a template for all police and partnerships to deliver on.

Northumbria Police as the Lead Authority is looking to appoint a suitably experienced Contractor who is able to effectively evaluate the impact of programmes / projects within communities across multiple organisations.
