Counter-Explosive Ordanance, Defence - DPS
The Foreign Commonwealth Office Services (FCOS) is seeking to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) Framework on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) The MOD intends to increase support via an external supply chain to international partners facing the threat from explosive ordnance.
This includes improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mines, explosive remnants of war (ERW) and conventional munitions (CM).
The intent is to generate options for delivery (equipment, services and training) that combine military, police and external supply chain resources via a DPS framework.
This initiative aligns well to the National Security Strategy objectives; Protect our People, Project our Global Influence and Promote our Prosperity.
It is the requirement that this DPS Framework opportunity is open to a wide variety of suppliers (SME's, VCSE's and larger organisations).
Bidders who initially respond to this notice and successfully meet the Authority's criteria stipulated in the Selection Questionnaire (SQ), will be awarded a place on the DPS Framework.
Bidders who are successfully admitted to the DPS Framework will be eligible to participate in Mini-Competitions for the provision of Counter Explosive and Demolitions equipment, services and training.
The DPS Framework will be for a period of ten (10) years with a review within the first 12 months.
A longer DPS Framework is required to ensure there are sufficient Mini-Competition opportunities to maximise market interest and sufficient opportunities for new entrants to join the DPS Framework.
