The brief

Ofwat is currently developing its approach to modelling quality assurance.

As part of this approach, Ofwat is actively developing a common in-house modelling standard that reflects industry best practice, and it is likely that the FAST modelling standard will be at the core of this.

To this end, Ofwat trained 12 individuals in the FAST financial modelling in 2015.

Ofwat is now seeking to train 24 more individuals in the FAST modelling standard.

These individuals will be from a variety of professional backgrounds within our analytic resource pool, including engineers, accountants, economists and modellers.

The requirements is to deliver twice, a two full-day training course (days to run consecutively) on the FAST modelling standard for up to 12 participants (one in January and March 2017).

At the end of the course students should have a good theoretical and practical understanding of the application of the FAST modelling standard.
