The brief

Healthy London Partnership is looking to contract an organisation to undertake management and update of the London Mental Health Dashboard for the financial year 2022-23.

Data within the Dashboard is updated on a quarterly basis along with Trust metrics which are updated twice yearly.

The London Mental Health Dashboard was first commissioned in 2016, and became publicly available on the Healthy London Partnership website in 2018 with a current end date of 31st March 2022.

Our partners include NHS in London (Clinical Commissioning Groups, Health Education England, NHS England, NHS Digital, NHS Improvement, trusts and providers), the Greater London Authority, the Mayor of London, Public Health England and London Councils.

All of our work is founded on common goals set out in Better Health for London, NHS Five Year Forward View, the NHS Long Term Plan and the Devolution Agreement.

The NHS in London works together via the Mental Health Transformation Programme and Board to deliver on the vision of transforming mental health care for Londoners and making London the mentally healthiest global city.

In September 2015 the Mental Health Transformation Board endorsed a proposal from London Commissioners and Providers to develop a mental health dashboard, summarising key metrics for London's mental health system.

The dashboard was co-produced with London stakeholders and constructed by the NHS Benchmarking Network on behalf of the Healthy London Partnership.

The data focused on London's strategic priorities and included coverage of the main mental health conditions and priorities related to children and young people, adults of working age and older people.

The Dashboard is a strategic planning tool which supports the benchmarking of Mental Health Transformation across London and was not designed or intended for use as a performance monitoring tool.

It allows exploration of variation, and represents a platform to showcase collaboration, to prompt discussions on warranted and unwarranted variation, and can aid transparency.
