Research On Training Routes From Education To Employment - AWARD
This sits in the upper-middle of the Research & Development band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 20,405 valued Research & Development tenders in our corpus.
The current skills provision in both the film and High-End Television (HETV) industries (sometimes referred to as 'physical' production) and digital content production sectors (including animation, post-production, video games, visual effects (VFX), virtual production and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has varying levels of suitability to meet the demand for current and future skills and job roles.
Due to a disconnect between industry and formal training routes, courses delivered by Further Education Institutions (FEIs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are often seen as being too generic in their focus and with insufficient signposting of career opportunities and occupational need.
The aim of this study is to analyse and understand the barriers that restrict the digital content production (animation, post-production, visual effects, virtual production, and artificial intelligence) sectors' ability to engage effectively with technical training and skills routes, and to recommend key opportunities for the sector to benefit from effective bridging programmes.
The study scope will be split into two stages, with the first stage focusing on the animation, post-production, visual effects, virtual production, and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors, and the second stage (if awarded) focusing on the video games sector.
Both stages are included in the research scope within this invitation to tender.
We will expect the supplier to undertake the two stages sequentially and to produce separate reports for each stage.
