Community Sexual Health Services
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Health & Social Care band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
Based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), Greenwich is the 19th most deprived borough in England and the 10th most deprived in London.
It is widely acknowledged that there is a strong link between social deprivation, STIs (including HIV) and teenage pregnancy.
Improving the sexual health of the population of Royal Greenwich therefore continues to remain a vital public health priority.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich (‘RBG’) is tendering its community sexual health services in order to improve the sexual health and well-being of our residents.
Through this programme of work we are aiming to increase the recognition, availability and accessibility of our sexual health services.
Community STI and Contraception Services These community services are established as a means of improving accessibility of sexual health service provision to the population of Greenwich, by providing increased choice of sexual health services; increase the uptake of sexually transmitted infections testing amongst the Greenwich population; increase the uptake of HIV testing amongst high risk populations (gay men and Africans); provide services that are conveniently located to the patient; and reduce the numbers of asymptomatic patients attending GUM services.
Applications Applications are encouraged from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, including Community Interest Companies and charities.
