Tender for infrastructure works and construction of an industrial unit at a site at Egmere, Walsingham

North Norfolk District Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified Principal Contractors to undertake road and utility infrastructure and construction of an industrial unit on an area of land at Egmere between Wells-next-the-Sea and Fakenham.

The scope of works will include site strip/cutting and filling, forming access roadways, car parking and site drainage, mains services, landscaping, and constructing an industrial unit of approximately 9,000 sq. ft., including shell, core and potential fit out.

This is a turnkey operation therefore only suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractors will be considered.

This is a two stage tender process with only Principal Contractors who score sufficiently at the pre-qualification stage selected for progression to stage 2, the issue of tender documentation.

It is envisaged that the works will commence early 2017 for completion by July 2017.

Exact sequencing and timing of the works is to be agreed.

Form of building contract will be JCT Design and Build Contract 2016 and it is expected that the budget for the works will exceed £2m.
