H668 Flat Roofing 2019 - 2022
Newark and Sherwood Homes are seeking to procure the services of a contractor to undertake flat roofing works at various locations across the Newark and Sherwood District.
The areas covered on this contact will include (but not limited to) Balderton, Bilsthorpe, Edwinstowe, Newark, Rainworth, Farnsfield, Farndon, Southwell, Ollerton, Clipstone, Blidworth and Bleasby.
The Contractor that will carry out the works must be a Bauder approved Installer and be registered on Constructionline.
The Contract will initially be for 1 year but may lead to 2 more years depending on performance.
There will be roughly 390 properties to re-roof over the 3 year period and the contractor will be expected to reroof 3 roofs per week on average.
A fully qualified Site Manager with an SMSTS qualification will be required on site for the duration of the works.
All Roofs to be worked on will require scaffolding to be erected by a fully qualified and insured scaffolder.
Scaffolding will be inspected periodically by the scaffolding company and have inspection tags visible for each scaffold on each property.
The work can be summarised as follows: 1.
Remove all stone chippings from existing roof 2.
Remove any existing trims and upstands 3.
Remove all RWG and downpipes 4.
Remove facia board 5.
Secure new 18mm OSB board to existing roof 6.
Renew roof covering using Bauder Liqitec system 7.
Replace all gutters and Downpipes with UPVC 8.
Replace all Facias in UPVC
