Teach First Training Programme: Higher Education Providers 2021 cohort 

Teach First, registered charity No 1098294, now seeks to secure a Higher Education (HE) provider for each of its Regions to contribute to the development and delivery of the Teach First Training Programme for the 2021 cohort, particularly in relation to the award of the Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

The Teach First Regions are: London South East & South Coast South West East Midlands West Midlands East of England North East North West Yorkshire and Humber Together the Regions cover all of England and participants can be allocated in eligible schools anywhere within the Region.

Teach First seeks a single HE provider for each Region however, bidders may bid to deliver the services in more than one Region Each year Teach First recruits a cohort of trainees for a 2-year Training Programme including a Summer Institute, readiness to start teaching in school, Initial Teacher Training (ITT), PGDE and leadership development.

This agreement will be for 1 cohort: • Preparation during 2020/21: There will be preparation in advance of delivery. • 2021 cohort: The services start with Summer Institute in June 2021.

Delivery continues for the academic years 2021/22 and 2022/23.

Contract award is dependent on award of funding for the 2021 cohort.

The anticipated date for this decision is June 2020.

Potential bidders will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before the tender documents will be released to them.
