The brief

Thirteen is actively seeking a technology provider who can help us on our Living Well journey.

The Innovation Team at Thirteen have been leading the discovery phase of the 'Living Well' programme over the last ten months.

This is a large programme of work looking at ways we can support our customers to live well for longer.

As part of the programme of work, we are looking to pilot new ways of using technology to solve some of the problems our customers experience, as well as some of the problems faced by us as a business in supporting our customers as they age.

At this stage, we are open minded about what is possible to solve some of the problems.

We are not necessarily looking for solutions that we would eventually roll out or commission as a housing organisation.

We may decide to pilot some technology that would enable us to develop a proof of concept in partnership.

Or we may pilot new technology to gather evidence of the benefits to customers, to influence or encourage partners to work with us in the future.

Our Customer Base As a Social Landlord, we look after over 35,000 properties in the North East of England, Hull and North Yorkshire.

We also deliver housing support to people with additional needs or vulnerabilities in our housing schemes.

These schemes support people with learning difficulties, autism, victims of domestic violence and older people.

We know from our research that many of the problems faced by people living in our schemes, are also faced by people living in our general needs properties.

The housing support we deliver varies depending on the commissioning arrangements with each local authority area.

We are looking to work with partners who can help us solve some key problems: Delivering Housing Support Helping People feel safe Connecting with others Practicalities · We don't want to invest in any closed protocol software and all solutions need to be able to integrate with other technology. · We need solutions that are optional for the customer and are appropriate within structured settings like an extra care scheme but also provide functionality if the person is living in their own home. · We would like solutions that require minimal hardware and maintenance and are easy to install. · We would like a solution that enables us to report on key things such as the number of instances the solution has been used as well as being able to break the data down by customer, scheme, post code etc.
