The brief

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust delivers patient focused care across 6 counties including Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

With over 2,000 clinical staff the Trust strives to deliver the highest quality of care for all emergency, urgent and primary care patients.

The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) is a national project to ensure that Ambulance personnel are able to deliver live saving patient care to people who are injured or taken ill within a hazardous environment.

Within the East of England there are two HART teams, both made up of 44 members of operational staff; therefore within the Trust there are 88 members of staff who will require new or regular on-going refresher training.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) is looking to create a call off order with one supplier, who will be able to provide training to allow staff to safely operate the Trust 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles both on road and on non-tarmac surfaces.

Due to the operational needs of the Trusts 6x6 vehicle being used during the course, the training facility must be located no more than 25 miles outside of the East of England region (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex).

The contract duration will be three (3) years with the option to extend by up to two (2) further periods of twelve (12) months.
