The brief

We are seeking to procure a service that offers a suitable and flexible fleet vehicle supply solution.

Our approach is to obtain a maximum of 22 wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

Currently we commission 22 fleet vehicles, consisting of 15 vehicles that support Adult Social Care and home-to-school transport, 4 vehicles that are procured on behalf of Children's Services, and 3 vehicles that are sub-leased to service user groups, who club together to access their vehicles through our contractual arrangements.

These vehicles will be distributed throughout Cambridgeshire County.

We aim to secure long-term vehicles for our 19-vehicle core fleet, where drivers are employed to deliver services, as well as for day centres experiencing high demand.

For the remaining vehicles, we plan to utilise short-term hire options that provide the best value for money to meet demand and address service challenges This procurement will be for 48 months with the option to extension for a further 24 months in 12 month intervals.

The procurement will be a further competition under the TPPL Framework Fleet Rental Lot 4 - applying will be only to the bidders who are currently on the framework and not other bidders will be able to apply.
