Torbay Wellbeing Engagement Project
This sits in the lower-middle of the Health & Social Care band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
Following award of grant funding by Public Health England, Torbay Council is undertaking a tender process for the Torbay Wellbeing Engagement Project.
The project will aim to prevent mental ill-health and promote wellbeing, by addressing the mental health and other related needs of residents who access food support and Children's centres.
These needs include the risks factors that contribute to poor mental health, such as food poverty, unemployment, housing issues, financial instability, as well as low level mental health needs.
The project will use a person/family-centred and trauma-informed approach to assess need(s) and match with an appropriate intervention.
Interventions may include: the formation of a trusted relationship, supportive conversations, active signposting to a more appropriate social prescriber, peer-supporter, or service (statutory and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector), or being part of a multi-disciplinary team response.
This aims of the project will be achieved through recruiting a team of Wellbeing Coordinators, training them to have supportive conversations about mental health and wellbeing, equipping them with information on key statutory and VCSE sector provision and ensuring that the wider system is aware of their role and it supports and works alongside existing provision.
The Wellbeing Coordinators will work across food providers and Children's Centres in Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.
They will engage and build trusted relationships with residents in these locations, signpost and support them to access relevant services and take on caseloads of their own.
This procurement is being run as a Domestic Tender process, reserved for VCSEs in the Torbay area of Devon.
The grant value is for £270,765 and the project will run from 09 August 2021 till 09 June 2022.
The Contract will run until 08 August 2022.
Please refer to the tender documents for full details of the requirements.
