The PSDS was established as part of the UK Gov's green recovery and provides grants for public sector bodies to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures.
Therefore Bristol City Council are looking to procure a mechanical and electrical contractor to install & commission heat network substations & upgrade heating systems across 16 public buildings within the central Bristol area, including schools & housing across Central Bristol, including Redcliff and Old Market Heat Networks Works include: • M&E design work based on the supplied scope • Installation of heat exchanger substations in each building • The upgrade of the buildings heating systems • Commissioning of the systems Anticipated Procurement Timetable Due to the nature of the grant and the timing within the year, Bristol City Council are looking for a contractor to be able to mobilise rapidly, therefore a quick procurement process has been set: Tender Published: 02/07/21 Tender clarifications: 02/07/21 - 16/07/21 Tender closing date: 23/07/21 Anticipated contract dates:- Estimated works start date: 20/08/21 Estimated works completion date: 31/03/22 Anticipated contract value:- £2.2m Contact for further questions prior to tendering:- heatnetwork@bristol.gov.uk Once tender has been issued all communication will be via ProContract
