The brief

Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council ('the Councils') would like to consult the market in relation to provision of the removal, transportation and storage of cadavers on behalf of the HM Coroners. ___________________________________________ This is a soft market test only and NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ___________________________________________ The Councils wish to establish a framework of suitably qualified suppliers to provide full geographical coverage across the County and City.

Within Leicester City and Leicestershire County, there are two HM Coroners and consequently two areas of jurisdiction.

Specifically, these areas are broken down as follows: Rutland & North Leicestershire Coroner's Jurisdiction 1 Rutland County 2 North West Leicestershire District 3 Charnwood Borough 4 Hinckley and Bosworth Borough 5 Melton Borough Leicester & South Leicestershire Coroner's Jurisdiction 1 Blaby District 2 Harborough District 3 Oadby & Wigston 4 The City The framework would be split into 9 lots corresponding with the areas listed above.
